We're back with another Fast Facts segment in our trip to Croatia! I hope you're ready for some interesting facts, because Korcula definitely has a different culture! If you have your passport handy, we're off!
1. Korcula is home to 3.5K people. I wouldn't mind living here!
2. It's the sixth largest island. Nevermind...I'd get lost.
3.In the winter, it's dark by 4 PM.
4. They demolished the city walls and used the blocks to build houses.
5. Bridges connect houses. Imagine being a kid and a literal bridge connects your house to your best friend's house. Yes, please!
6. There are only about one hundred people living inside the Old Town today. In the 16th century, there were 2.5K residents just inside of Old Town.
It's a short list of facts, but the beauty of Korcula is unmatched! Later today, we will be making a swim stop, so be ready for some paddle boarding and kayaking!
